What to see in the surroundings?
The main attractions of Nosy Komba are the clear sea full of coral reefs and the pristine nature. Not for nothing does the island's name mean "island of lemurs" - these cute animal inhabitants are part of the family at the resort :) but you can also see chameleons and many other animals you may come across while walking through the enchanting landscape. The diverse beauty of this destination and the surrounding islands can be explored thanks to the tips we organize for our clients every day. Thanks to the diving centre located right in the resort, you will be able to experience the amazing world under the from morning to night. From June to September it is possible to experience a unique whale-watching experience, watching groups of giant whales from the boat. humpback whales on their long journey from Antarctica. In the months of October, November, December, whale sharks visit our waters in large numbers every year. Attractive is Ampangorina, the largest village on the island. Visiting the traditional local markets and handicraft shops, you'll be kept company by adorable black lemurs.You will also have a unique opportunity to see how the indigenous Malagasy people of Madagascar live, who have half Indonesian and half African blood in their veins. There are many interesting things to see and the neighbouring island of Nosy Be, which can be reached by boat in about 20 minutes. Its main attractions include Lemuria Park, where you can get up close and personal with lemurs, chameleons, turtles, and crocodiles. On this "island of scents", the sea breeze will bring you the aroma of ylang-ylang flowers, vanilla, cocoa, lemongrass and other commonly used perfume ingredients. The island attracts excursions to the perfume distillation station. During an easy climb, you will climb the island's highest mountain, Mont Passot (326 m above sea level), which offers a fantastic 360° view from its summit. On the descent, you can take a dip in the freshwater crater lakes. An unforgettable experience is a full-day boat trip to Nosy Iranja, which is without exaggeration one of the most beautiful islands on planet Earth. Around the island stretches a beautiful sandy beach and the colour of the ocean reaches every shade of blue you can imagine. To make matters worse, the beach with its fine white sand reaches all the way to a nearby small island called Little Nosy Iranja, so between these two islands, you can walk comfortably on foot - and you're not going to find that anywhere else.
